“A fundamental right for all, not just an expensive privilege for the few.”

Sen. Edward Kennedy on health care.

Let’s all hope his words are heeded, as we are all only as strong as the least among us.

We honor the Senator now with a strong commitment to protect the health and security of our country, and if the industries that have been lobbying so tenaciously to protect their profit margins do not understand their ‘shared responsibility’ to our nation, then we also commit to protect our nation from them.

I am sorry. I missed that part of the constitution where they wrote that the government has to pay for everyone’s health care. Oh wait, I didn’t because it isn’t a fundamental right.

It’s a shame you place the interests of the health insurance and pharma industries over the interests of your fellow citizens.
We should, then, eradicate Medicare, Medicaid and the VA because they’re not in the Constitution?
Are you content with industry getting between you and your doctor, and profiting of the illness of your fellow Americans?
Our health care system is a national embarrassment, as it looks like we can’t even take care of our own.
